Video calling facility on android phones

Why don't android phones have video calling facility ?

Android 1.5/1.6/2.1 does not support video calling. The expensive smart phones such as Motorola Milestone, Samsung Galaxy S/Galaxy 3, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 does not seem to have a secondary camera(above display) which is usually used for video calling. If android 2.2 comes with video calling feature, people can upgrade the software. But how to change the hardware (fix a secondary camera) ?

In India, BSNL/MTNL have already launched 3G services & private operators may launch the services by December 2010. Video calling & high data rates for internet access are the hot features in 3G which are not there in 2G(GSM). These are the main features which could attract new subscribers in India(or to migrate from 2G to 3G).

If you have a android phone or planning to buy one, please rethink.
